Museum Is Open

Even with inclement weather the museum will still be open 9-5.

"We pride ourselves in being open every single day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day," says Director Judy Newman. "It's going to take more then a little snow to get us down."

The snow did interfere with some of the planed Second Saturday activities. The volunteers that were going to put on the NOVA MAKING STUFF programming got snowed in. The rescheduled program will be announced soon.

Despite the museum having 2 snow ready antiques - a Piper Cub airplane on skis and a Studebaker Weasel - both were substantially blocked by other displays that did not have enough space to be pushed out of the way.

February 8 marks the first Second Saturday event where nothing from the museum collection has flown or driven in over 4 years.
