A 1929 Command-Aire 3C3-T joins the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum. Year: 1929

Acquired with museum funds and donations.

Engine: Curtis OX-5 90HP

The Command-Aire is an open cockpit biplane trainer manufactured by the Arkansas Aircraft Corporation of Little Rock, Arkansas. It is typical of the appearance and structure of the aircraft of the Twenties era. There were approximately 300 Command-Aires built during the late Twenties. This is the only remaining flying example of the Trainer Series, which features the unusual "Bathtub" cockpit configuration. Of the approximate 300 Command-Aires built, it is believed only five remain flying in the world.

Antique/Classic Silver Age Grand Champion at the EAA Oshkosh Convention in August 1996.
